GREAT GREEN SMOOTHIE – DR. SARAH KENT
Getting greens is so important for your health. They provide a great assortment of vitamins and minerals that help your body with so much of its necessary function. From cell maintenance, to cell turn over, immune function and neurotransmitter development, the vitamins and trace minerals in your fruits and veggies are essential for optimal health!
- 1 cup of spinach
- 2 big leaves of Kale
- 1 carrot
- ½ grapefruit
- ½ avocado
- ½ banana
- 1 stalk of celery
- Water – enough to get the consistency you prefer
Add to blender and enjoy!
Time saving tips:
- Make the night before (keep in fridge)
- Want to make enough for a couple of days? Add minimum amount of water so it’s like a concentrate, then take as you wish, adding water to thin it out. (keep in fridge)
- Drink in 4oz segments, with your breakfast lunch or dinner. It doesn’t have to be a meal replacement and shouldn’t unless you add some protein.
