An Introduction to Ed – Ascent’s Physiotherapist
My name is Ed Middleton, I am a physiotherapist brand new to the Ascent Integrative Health team and I am very excited to join such an amazing group of highly skilled professionals. I am so impressed with the atmosphere at Ascent; it’s positive, professional, friendly and welcoming to all, clients and staff.
As a brief introduction, I graduated from the University of Alberta in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy with distinction. I have spent 20 years in private practice treating a mixed caseload, general orthopedics, sport injuries, work related injuries, acute and chronic problems I have had the pleasure of working with clients in every age range, with very diverse backgrounds and interests. I have learned so much from my clients and have helped many return to a quality of life that was temporarily lost due to pain and/or injury. I would describe my approach to the assessment and treatment of physical injuries as a “holistic approach.” I am here to help you – to treat you, not just your injury. Many times physical problems or injuries are a result of, or lead to, other problems in the body. I believe that in order to get you back to the activities and lifestyle you love, any and all restrictions need to be addressed.
In addition to the treatment of injuries or physical issues I also take great pride in my ability to help athletes maximize their performance. It doesn’t matter what your sport is, what level you play or compete at if you’re not happy with your performance, if you feel you are close but not quite achieving your potential come down to Ascent Integrative Health, we can make a difference.
I have a unique approach that blends perfectly with the wonderful team at Ascent Integrative Health. So if your injury is brand new, if it is a long standing problem that just doesn’t seem to be getting better or you just want help improving athletic performance or quality of life give Ascent a call.
